The growing environmental damages, such as global warming, environmental degradation, and ozone depletion, have prompted corporations to prioritize environmental sustainability in their business strategies. This has led to the introduction of a new concept: green behavior at work, which involves shifting toward adopting environmentally friendly practices in the workplace. It involves incorporating eco-conscious behaviors into daily work routines and decision-making process. Several antecedents influence employee green behavior (EGB) from contextual perspectives. This chapter focuses on contextual factors to explore their significance to organizations. These factors include corporate social responsibility (CSR), leadership roles and support, green work climate (GWC), and green human resource management (GHRM). This study identifies a gap in understanding how these antecedents collectively drive EGB, which is critical for developing effective strategies to enhance environmental sustainability within organizations. This conceptual study contributes significantly to the theoretical and practical understanding of EGB, specifically within the Malaysian manufacturing industry.

摘要
