Towards Transparent and Ethical Coffee and Cocoa Supply Chains: The Role of Blockchain, NFTs Encrypted, and Smart Contracts
摘要
This study presents a framework using blockchain and decentralized storage to advance coffee and cocoa supply chain management. By integrating distributed ledger technology with tokenization and decentralized file management, the system enables full traceability and authentication of products from origin to consumer. Our work includes the design and assessment of a tailored supply chain infrastructure, trialed across various high-performance blockchain platforms, specifically BNB Chain, Polygon, Fantom, and Celo. This approach tackles key industry issues, such as verifying product authenticity, reinforcing accountability among supply chain participants, and supporting fair trade. Results show that this combined technological approach has strong potential to reshape traditional supply chain processes, setting new benchmarks in transparency and ethical sourcing for agricultural markets.
