The concept of the integration of Tao and art in China has long made tea an important way to exercise Tao. The tea art is the Tao, and vice versa. The reason why tea becomes an art is to create Tao experience. In order to understand the exquisite meaning of Tao and reach the realm of Tao, the people of Song Dynasty paid meticulous attention to the cultivation, picking, making and drinking of tea. In other words, it was due to their meticulous attention that the Song people managed to understand Tao. Of course, their manner and interest also came from the inheritance of predecessors. In the early Northern Song Dynasty, Cai Xiang lamented that there was no record of tea drinking and cooking in Song dynasty, so he wrote Tea Record to list the method of whisking tea, that is, creating tea art in cups, or Diancha in Chinese.
