A Multi-Level Broker Architecture for Cloud Service Monitoring for Infrastructure as a Service Cloud
摘要
In cloud market, multiple service providers with their offerings are available for providing their services to user. Migrating and deploying user application over service provider resources may sometime lead to vendor lock in and performance degradation due to violation of service level agreement. To fill the above gap between user and service provider a broker system is required that can act as an intermediate among user and service provider by providing different functionality like resource management, SLA negotiation, service recommendation and monitoring etc. This paper proposes a multi-level broker approach for solving the problem of service monitoring. The performance of the proposed method has been evaluated via cloud-sim simulator and compared against existing techniques in the literature, such as STAR, PRA, and PURS by using a different of evaluation criteria. The method shows customer confidence level of 0.81–0.85, resource utilization of 88% and latency of 5–15 ms under different load condition.
