With the large-scale access of distributed photovoltaic and new power electronic equipment in distribution system, the harmonic problem of distribution network is becoming more and more serious, which has become one of the main problems threatening power quality. In order to avoid the controversy caused by the division of harmonic responsibility, the international community has proposed a ‘reward and punishment scheme’ to effectively control harmonics. This paper presents a harmonic power flow calculation method based on the decoupling approach and introduces a harmonic source identification method utilizing harmonic power direction. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through a case study using a 33-node distribution network model.
