For the past twenty years, the research has been focused on sustainable pavements, on that plot, the pervious pavements arrive with their unique advantages, and acknowledged to be more sustainable. The present review article focuses on recommendations on the recent developments of Pervious Pavements with different ground conditions such as using under drains and various geosynthetics. Field investigations prior to construction of pavement, laboratory investigations, innovative methods and materials of pervious pavements have been discussed. A detailed review highlights, how geosynthetics enhance the structural and hydrological behavior of the porous pavement. Review listed with major subgrade soil problems under pervious pavement and ground treatment methods to revive both structural and hydrological efficiency of the pavement systems. Due to its ample profits, there is an opportunity to construction of pervious pavements in future and further research on ground enhancement, which provides better subgrade material and good subbase conditions for sustainable pervious pavements.

摘要
