Temporary Captured Objects (TCO) are small Solar System objects temporarily captured by Earth’s gravity, often referred to as Earth’s temporary satellites. Five objects have been identified as TCO, one of which is 2022 NX1. This research aims to investigate the orbital dynamics of 2022 NX1 using N-body simulations conducted with the REBOUND module. The orbital elements data for the 2022 NX1 used in this research were obtained from NASA’s JPL Small-Body Database Lookup. During the simulation time span, 2022 NX1’s orbit was unstable when it was in close encounter with the Earth, and it was found that there were eight capture events of 2022 NX1 by the Earth. The orbit of clone 2022 NX1 is also unstable due to close encounter events, and this can be seen from its divergent orbit. No clones have crossed the orbit of any planet other than Earth.

摘要
