This paper aims to develop a conceptual model based on the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework for measuring the intention to adopt virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies within Jordan’s industrial sector supply chain management (SCM). The study identifies 14 significant factors categorized into technological, organizational, and environmental dimensions that influence adoption decisions. These factors underscore the multifaceted nature of technology adoption and highlight the complex interplay of internal and external elements shaping organizational readiness in Jordan. By systematically addressing these factors, organizations can enhance their understanding of the benefits and challenges associated with AR and VR adoption, enabling informed decision-making and successful technology integration. Recommendations include promoting awareness through demonstrations of relative advantage and compatibility, enhancing organizational readiness through infrastructure investment and training, securing top management support, leveraging government incentives, fostering innovation culture, addressing socioeconomic barriers, and implementing continuous monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. Future research should expand the TOE framework, explore sector-specific adoption challenges, and investigate the integration of emerging technologies to advance SCM practices in Jordan’s industrial sector.
