An AHP-Based Decision-Support Model for Billboard Placement
摘要
Outdoor advertising, particularly static billboards and digital display screens play a crucial role in enhancing brand awareness and promoting products and services. The literature on outdoor media location decision, their orientation, and other features is still emerging. Billboard advertisers are not unanimous on at least a set of general criteria on location decisions that could improve the effectiveness of outdoor advertising. By leveraging business intelligence, this research aims to develop a structured framework for billboard placement to maximize advertising impact and return on investment (ROI). Applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), a well-established multi-criterion decision-making technique, this study evaluates various criteria and sub-criteria influencing billboard placement effectiveness. The criterion weights of our AHP-based decision-support model can be applied to real-world billboard location decisions.
