Marketing Strategies for Private Nursing Homes: A Case Study of H Nursing Home in PR. China

An aging society is impending. The purpose of this study was to investigate the marketing strategies of H Nursing home, evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies, and identify opportunities to crucially improve those strategies to correspond with the changing demands of the aging population. By employing a mixed-methods approach, this study combined extensive literature review with a comprehensive questionnaire survey methodology to evaluate the satisfaction levels of 280 residents in the H Nursing home across five dimensions of service quality, specifically reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibility. The results denote that the residents are very satisfied with regard to the dimension of assurance, which places the emphasis on trust and safety in senior care service. Conversely, poor scores were returned in the scope of responsiveness suggests that there are areas for improvement in terms of the speed and efficiency of the service delivery. Demographic analysis indicates that the level of education significantly affects upon satisfaction, especially with regard to the tangible aspects of the facilities in the nursing home. Based on the findings above, the paper suggests specific marketing plans and improvements, arguing emphatically in favor of the need for customer orientation that is responsive to the diverse preferences of the resident population. The study concludes with strategic suggestions for H Nursing home, and other similar organizations, to utilize a dynamic, evidence-based marketing approach to secure a competitive edge and stimulate further growth in the senior care industry. These findings shed light upon marketing in the senior care context and offer a prototype for augmenting service quality and competitive positioning in, what is a service-critical industry.
