Conceptual Design of Work Center XR Using Design Thinking Methodology
摘要
The application of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies has historically been connected to entertainment, particularly in video games and movies. But as we learn more about virtual reality, its uses go far beyond entertainment. AR/VR technology is being used more and more by emerging industries like healthcare, education, marketing, manufacturing, automotive, and workforce development. Virtual reality (VR) technology provides many benefits over conventional training techniques, including the ability to create immersive virtual environments that support effective and secure learning. The proposed design for Work Center XR, a virtual reality training aid for manufacturing companies, is presented in this study. The authors identified the elements that customers needed by applying the design thinking approach. The prototype design was also evaluated using six thinking hats to determine its strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities for improvement.
