Long-distance pipelines are usually laid in the ground, and the pipelines are in direct contact with the soil, which is greatly affected by the stratum. As buried pipelines cross a wide geographical area, it is difficult to avoid crossing various complex geological environment zones in the construction process, and its safety issues need to be emphasized. Earthquake fault movement, landslides, ground settlement, rockfall and other geological disasters will threaten the safety of the pipeline, of which the earthquake fault movement has the most significant impact on the pipeline (Zhou in Study on buckling response of large-diameter gas pipeline based on ABAQUS fault, 2020).
