Simulation of Full Tailings Flocculation Behavior in the Feedwell of the DCT
摘要
This chapter first studied the flow field characteristics and flocculation performance of lab-scale feedwell through PIV. And then applies a pilot DCT to conduct a physical simulation study on the flocculation behavior of full tailings in the feedwell based on the optimal flocculation conditions obtained from experiments in Chap. 2 , and preliminarily analyzes the flocculation effect of full tailings using the turbidity of overflow water as an indicator. Then, the full tailings flocculation kinetics model (FT-PBM) was coupled with CFD to numerically simulate the flocculation behavior of the full tailings slurry in the feedwell of a pilot DCT. Detailed analysis was conducted on the velocity field, concentration field, turbulence characteristics, and effective flow area inside the feedwell, and the FT-PBM was solved using the discrete method to study the spatiotemporal evolution law of the size distribution of tailings flocs in the feedwell.
