This chapter mainly applies the micro characterization of flocculation behavior based on the size of full tailings flocs and the macro characterization of full tailings flocculation based on the initial settling rate (ISR) and turbidity (T) of the supernatant of the flocculated full tailings slurry. Introducing the important influencing factor of shear rate, the response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to measure the size of full tailings flocs under different factors such as shear rate using FBRM. The ISR and T of the flocculated full tailings slurry were tested and analyzed. The effects of flocculant type, flocculant dosage (FD or fd), flocculant concentration (FC), solid fraction (SF) in the tailings slurry, and flow field shear rate (G) on the flocculation behavior of full tailings were analyzed. Meanwhile, this chapter preliminarily applies the ultra-flocculation theory to investigate the influence of flocculation conditions on flocculation behavior, and attempts to study the effect of flocculation settlement on the yield stress of concentrated tailings slurry.

摘要
