Continuous lightning strikes are common in nature and are one of the important causes of substation equipment failure. This paper analyzes the impact of continuous lightning strikes on substation circuit breakers and provides a new insulation coordination method. This method reduces the influence of lightning waves on the circuit breaker circuit breaker by reasonably arranging the distance between the surge arrester and the circuit breaker. This coordination method significantly enhances the lightning protection capability of the substation, improves the overall stability and reliability of the power system, and provides a reference for enhancing the lightning protection strategy in the power system.
