Research on Three-Phase Voltage Source PWM Rectifier Based on Direct Power Control Strategy

A three-phase voltage source PWM rectifier using direct power control (DPC)was proposed, compared with the direct current vector double-closed-loop control, it uses power ring PI regulator to achieve zero reactive power, reactive power hysteresis comparator output value, the computation of active and reactive power is greatly reduced since without complicated rotational coordinate transformation, and the system design is greatly simplified because there is no traditional current inner loop.The obtained simulation experiments results indicate that, the PWM rectifier using DPC based on the new switch table can not only overcomes the disadvantage of poor control ability on reactive power,but also reduces the AC-side current harmonic, and the fluctuation of DC voltage and active power were reduced,but the fluctuation of the rectifier power increases significantly if the hysteresis loop width is increased.
