For the strategic need of carbon neutrality, this paper studies and analyzes the main challenges facing China’s energy transition in view of China’s current carbon emission composition, energy supply side, energy demand side and energy system dominated by fossil energy. Combining with the development trend of global energy technology, this paper studies the realistic path suitable for China’s energy transformation, puts forward to realize the maximum value of the whole society and the energy system as a starting point, and constructs a new energy system with renewable energy as the main body from the system and global perspective. By comparing and analyzing the key technology paths of different technologies, the feasibility and main problems of different technology choices of carbon neutral energy solutions are studied, and the renewable energy integrated system suitable for carbon neutral in China is proposed, and the key technologies and policy measures urgently needed to build a renewable energy integrated system are proposed.
