This chapter presents two empirical examples of macroeconomic data in Japan; real GDP and macro consumption series. These examples illustrate the main issues of our statistical analysis and the motivations behind our approach, which will be further elaborated upon in subsequent chapters. We then present the basic and general non-stationary errors-in-variables models, which are utilized extensively in the subsequent chapters.

摘要

This chapter presents two empirical examples of macroeconomic data in Japan; real GDP and macro consumption series. These examples illustrate the main issues of our statistical analysis and the motivations behind our approach, which will be further elaborated upon in subsequent chapters. We then present the basic and general non-stationary errors-in-variables models, which are utilized extensively in the subsequent chapters.
