Green structures serve as a symbol for sustainability in the face of growing environmental concerns. The advantages, difficulties, and changing paradigms of green building practices are underlined. An investigation of the relationships between various green building ratings is combined with an exploration of the sustainable frameworks that drive ecologically responsible construction. The advantages and shortcomings of these ratings are contrasted. Energy-saving techniques are evaluated in terms of their energy efficiency and the economic and environmental implications. A cost–benefit study supported by performance measures indicates the long-term financial advantage of green structures over conventional ones. The advantages of green design for health and a better home environment are highlighted in the present study. Comparing the satisfaction ratings of green and conventional structures, the former is shown to be superior. The benefits, limitations, and prospective improvements of the current green rating systems are assessed. IoT, AI, and automation are recognized as upcoming sustainable architecture disruptors. In the conclusion, trends, obstacles, and future directions are highlighted, stressing the need for greater sustainability and the importance of human well-being in architectural designs.
