Wastes Are in Spotlight: Using Biofibers to Cool PVT

Rising temperatures have a significant impact on how well PVT works. PVT becomes less efficient and operates for a shorter period as the temperature rises. Thus, creating a strong cooling system that lessens the PVT's exposure to extreme temperatures could enhance the system's overall performance. Phase change materials (PCMs) have been extensively utilized in various fields, including thermal control and waste heat recovery. However, the common person is unable to afford PCMs because of their expensive price and lack of availability in rural areas. Therefore, to get around this, waste biofibers can be used to cool PVTs. This study examines the outcomes of PVT with and without cooling using moist aspen fibers. The development of sustainable engineering is made possible by the widespread usage of fibers as reinforcing materials because of their low cost and water absorption capabilities. As a result, this study focuses on providing an overview of how waste biofibers might be utilized to efficiently cool PVTs. These biofibers represent a huge step toward a safer and cleaner environment.
