Diversity has become a common phenomenon in the workplace and therefore, it is imperative to understand its impact on individuals, teams, and other organizational outcomes. This study aimed to investigate the impact of board gender diversity on corporate social responsibilityCorporate social responsibility reporting (CSRR) in Indian firms. Content analysisContent analysis was employed to collect the CSRR metrics from the CSR and BRSR of the BSE-100 companies from 2015 to 2022. The CSRR scores for the firms were determined based on the 12 CSR activities mentioned under the Companies Act 2013. The findings from this study indicate that female directors can play a significant role on corporate boards, based on their experience, perspective, personality, and behavioural aspects, thereby contributing towards the growth of the firm in a sustainable manner. The study offers some suggestions and policy measures for further improvement of governance as well as corporate social responsibilityCorporate social responsibility practices.
