Red mud is also known as bauxite residue which is waste product left out during the Bayer’s process in this process the bauxite ore is extracted from alumina. Red mud is substituted for cement in the M30 grade of concrete in percentages of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30% with appropriate ratio and cement to water ratio of 0.45 for the 7-day and 28-day curing periods. The correlation between compression strength and rebound hammer values is determined using regression analysis. The results shows that the experimental values respectively 2.25% and 7.5% higher than the predicated model values for 5% of red mud replacement in cement. This study shall help proper utilization of red mud in construction industry.
