In concrete industry it has been observed that, the traditional concrete with conventional ingredient has unsound results. To overcome this problems certain evolution takes place in concrete mixes such as addition of different waste products and fibers to improve quality of concrete. In present work a polypropylene fiber which is basically a synthetic fiber is used to check various properties and influence of fiber content on characteristics of concrete is investigated. A doses of 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.0 and 1.25% polypropylene fiber used in this project, It was fibrillated in form and has negligible moisture content. Two grades of concrete M25 and M40 were prepared and compared test results with each other. Various test on fresh concrete and hardened concrete specimen such as workability test, compressive strength test, tensile strength test, fire damage, water absorption and effect of curing compound on compressive strength is investigated. From the results of test it is observed that, compressive strength is increases at smaller polypropylene fiber does and is decreases with increasing polypropylene fiber content. A significant change in the splitting tensile strength and flexural properties of polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete was noted at smaller fiber content. It was observed that, polypropylene fiber concrete performed better in fire damage as that of control concrete, Also curing compound is found to be better alternative to water curing.

摘要
