This article reports a review on findings related to the antioxidant potential and phytochemistry of under-exploited wild edible fruits consumed in the Western Ghats, India. It summarizes potent antioxidant properties and the phytochemical components of the fruits. The fruits reported by the researchers exhibited their noticeable activity against reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) as well as lipid peroxides. The discoveries, highlighted on antioxidant properties of the fruits, are amassed to pursue further hunt for antioxidants leading to the revelation of their therapeutic values.
