In the global geopolitical changes taking place in the 21st century, concepts such as “state expansion” are taking a prominent place in the foreign policy of nations, due to which the spatiality-based border disputes’ are becoming more complex. In such a scenario, through the geo-strategically importance and strategic reach of DOB, on one way, India can make its north-eastern border more secure and effective, while on the other way, land connectivity with various countries of Asia located to the north of India can be enhanced. Strategic advantage can be taken by increasing. Realizing the futuristic geopolitical or strategic opportunity of the region, India has decided to continue with the infrastructural works in DBO. The construction and Infrastructure work of the Darbuk-Shayok-Daulat Beg Oldie (DSDBO) road is also an initiative in this direction. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is being constructed in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) to the west of DBO. Due to this the border dispute between India and Pakistan and India and China is becoming more complicated because of external intervention-based benefits in such tension, the border dispute is out of the bounds of sovereignty. In such circumstances, it is especially important for any nation to further strengthen the strategic places located on its border. So that, the nation can get easy access and geopolitical benefits in the border areas. This research paper will critically examine the strategic and historical evidence in the context of this geostrategic region using qualitative research methods. The semi-interview technique will be used to organize the dimensions of subject matter expertise in a structured manner while selecting the expert group for primary data collection. Through the second data collection, literature review, and geographical research done earlier in this area will be reviewed. The infrastructural development done by the Indian Air Force and Border Road Organization in Daulat Beg Oldie strengthens India’s defense rampart given the sensitivity of the area. Through this paper, the geographical and geo-strategic location of the Daulat Beg Oldie area studied in the context of how the development of infrastructure in this area increases India’s capacity and efficiency in Indian border disputes and tension.
