Analysis of Flight Data Prior to Its Graphical Representation

In response to the need to enhance the learning processes of future aviators, technology has played a significant role, giving rise to complex equipment such as flight simulators. This paper is focused on position and orientation estimation of a fixed-wing training aircraft during various flight phases. To achieve this, we propose the design of a prototype that integrates various sensors and electronic components to record information such as geographical coordinates, altitude, and angles of rotation in the three spatial axes known in aviation as pitch, yaw, and roll. The stored data will be processed using mathematical models (rotation matrices, geodesy, moving averages, derivative definition) to enable the visualization of the flight performed over a required period of time. Additionally, it is necessary to make trajectory estimations in three dimensions using the Casteljau algorithm (Bezier curves) to smooth the aircraft’s path.
