The digital age has transformed how stories are consumed, leading to a decline in traditional reading among younger generations. This paper addresses the challenge by presenting an automated system for generating comic books from videos, thereby fostering a love for reading in a format that resonates with digital natives. Leveraging computer vision and deep learning techniques, the proposed method extracts keyframes from videos, stylize them into comic-style images, and arrange them into engaging multi-page layouts with emotion-aware speech balloons. Unlike previous methods, our system includes automatic subtitle generation and advanced keyframe extraction techniques. The proposed CineComic system not only streamlines the comic creation process but also significantly improves the quality and appeal of the generated comics. Evaluations based on user surveys and feedback demonstrated enhanced reader engagement and showcased their increased interest in reading their favorite movies as comics, indicating its potential to contribute positively to comic content creation and promote literacy in a digitally oriented society.
