This paper delves into the dynamics of Industry-Academia Collaboration (IAC), focusing on identifying and analyzing various models of collaboration that have emerged in recent years. This research's main objective is to understand how different collaborative models facilitate the exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise between industry and academia and to assess their effectiveness in achieving mutual goals. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, the study combines qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. This includes a comprehensive review of existing literature, case studies of successful IAC models, and data collection through surveys and interviews with key stakeholders in both industry and academia. The theoretical framework is grounded in knowledge transfer and innovation theories, providing a lens through which to view the dynamics of these collaborations. The results indicate a diverse range of collaboration models, each with unique strengths and challenges. These include joint research projects, industry-sponsored academic programs, internships and placements, faculty sabbaticals in industry, and collaborative innovation hubs. The study reveals that the success of these models is contingent on factors such as clear communication, alignment of goals, trust, and the flexibility of both parties to adapt to changing needs. The novelty of this research lies in its comprehensive analysis of multiple IAC models, providing a holistic view of the current landscape.
