In the rapidly changing landscape of the IT job market, there are numerous job prospects and various diverse career paths to choose from. Job seekers now must sift through a plethora of digital information spread across multiple online platforms. This emphasises the need for an advanced recommender system tailored to the skills and qualifications of an individual. The proposed “AI-based Personalised Job Recommendation System” leverages the users’ skills and qualification level to recommend the most relevant jobs. It integrates a novel “Skill Suggestion” feature which empowers individuals to align their skill sets with the current industry trends. The skill requirements of a job listing are fed into a pre-trained BERT model to generate context-aware skill embeddings. The job search process is optimised by the bio-inspired Artificial Bee Colony algorithm, which delivers personalised job recommendations and skill development suggestions. The system aims to assist individuals in aligning their distinctive skill sets with appropriate job opportunities, fostering not only job compatibility but also supporting their professional development.
