Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurological developmental condition affecting communication, social interaction, speech and imagination. It presents the recurrent behavioral patterns and its early diagnosis predicts the development of early language skills, social functioning, academic success, and favorable mental health outcomes in late childhood and adulthood. Scientists are continually working to find the specific causative factors of autism. The wide range of phenotypic presentation makes its diagnosis difficult, thus Artificial Intelligence was introduced which improved accuracy and effectiveness of the detection of autism and machine learning which helped identify the varying phenotypes by analyzing large datasets with ease. The various diagnostic tools include Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Researcher Tools, Machine learning to name a few. The introduction of Social and Educational robots, and Virtual Reality received a more positive feedback due to its simplicity, repeatability and more predictability. Integration of robots into the learning process has dealt effectively with their cognitive and sensory deficiencies and has significantly increased their metacognitive abilities. Virtual reality provides a controlled environment which helps in practicing stress-reduction strategies at various intensities and the leads to the development of confidence in the child and faces the world with a more organized and cognitively tangible approach. This paper assesses various applications of recent technologies in management of speech impairment in autistic children.

Virtual reality provides a controlled environment which helps in practicing stress-reduction strategies at various intensities and the leads to the development of confidence in the child and faces the world with a more organized and cognitively tangible approach. This paper assesses various applications of recent technologies in management of speech impairment in autistic children.
