Due to rapid urbanization and industrialization, the demand for energy supply has increased exponentially and thus it is required to find the new alternatives for green energy. The basic definition of green energy signifies the production of energy with the help of renewable resources which is easily achievable by using the concept of green chemistry. In all the earlier researches, it has been found that how green chemistry helps in various fields and industries by reducing the waste, modifying the process or altering of the substances involved. But majorly, papers have not considered the secondary impacts that might be possible even after green chemistry applications, those secondary impacts can be used as a resource for green solutions. Green chemistry helps in providing safer guidelines for any modification required, and in this way, any extra waste production or unnecessary consumption of the feedstock can be prevented. In this paper, case studies related to few majors industries that have incorporated the concept of green energy solutions have been studied to figure out the secondary impacts and discussed about the possible mitigations. The basic principle of green chemistry has been considered throughout the discussion and final possible solutions have been recommended which can help in future modifications as well.
