The concept of sustainable production has become more important to meet customers’ demands while still providing a habitable environment for future generations and not risking their ability to meet their own needs. Beyond profitability and competition, manufacturing companies, in particular, have had to develop a sustainable production approach that takes care of all users comprehensively. Making sustainable production effective has become one of the most basic indicators for manufacturing companies. However, there are numerous barriers to achieving the appropriate level of sustainable production in manufacturing companies. The immediate removal of these barriers has a favorable impact on both businesses and society. In this context, the study examined and determined the criteria that include sustainable production obstacles and production improvement techniques at manufacturing companies with corporate identity in the Ordu province. The Bipolar Neutrosophic REF methodology was used to evaluate the criteria and options for this purpose. It has been concluded that “lack of high awareness of social and environmental events in businesses” is the most significant barrier to increasing production in manufacturing companies with a corporate identity. Furthermore, it has been found that “management through value analysis” is the most effective approach for sustainable production. The desired requirements, particularly those relating to environmental protection, can be accomplished thanks to the sustainable production practices employed by manufacturing companies. These practices support the implementation of efficiency-enhancing techniques. Furthermore, the study underlines the main barriers that businesses may encounter while implementing sustainable production processes, which have acquired global attention in recent years. Users can improve efficiency by being aware of relevant problems and implementing suitable strategies.

摘要
