Modern and challenging alternatives to traditional vehicles are electric vehicles (EVs). With low operating costs and the ability to utilize renewable energy sources, they offer environmental benefits. The increasing adoption of electric vehicles has given rise to challenges concerning efficient charging infrastructure and load management. This research paper focuses on the application of GA optimization to address the issue of EV charging by creating a schedule for the usage of home appliances. The objective is to optimize the charging process by considering the electricity demand of both EVs and home appliances, all while minimizing overall energy costs and maximizing user satisfaction. The paper provides an overview of GA optimization techniques and their relevance in EV charging scenarios. It also discusses the integration of load scheduling for home appliances and presents the advantages, challenges, and potential future research directions in this field.
