PLC-SCADA-Based Automation System for Remote and Sensitive Areas

In this study, a PLC-SCADA system is proposed for secure automation of remote and sensitive locations in industrial and home automation. The system consists of a PLC connected to a central SCADA system for secure real-time monitoring and control. Multiple security protocols, including authentication and authorization, are used to ensure data confidentiality and integrity during network transmission. The system is designed to address the challenges of managing critical infrastructure in hard-to-reach or environmentally sensitive areas. It uses sensors, actuators, and comprehensive SCADA software to collect data, monitor asset health, detect anomalies, and enable remote control of actuators from a central location. Security and privacy are prioritized, with strict access control mechanisms and SCADA security features protecting sensitive data from unauthorized access and cyber threats. The system demonstrates fast response times, maintaining stability and enabling ongoing operations in various test scenarios.
