Mona Dash is a London-based writer of fiction and poetry. She was born in 1972 in Orissa to R. N. Dash, a doctor, and Mamata Dash, an award-winning poet and writer. Naturally, she grew up in an environment where discussions on literature and art were normal. Her first poem was published in The Telegraph India when she was 10. With a degree in engineering, an MBA, and an M. Phil in Creative Writing, she works as a sales manager in a global technology organization. In 2001, when Dash’s first child was diagnosed with SCID (severe combined immuno-deficiency), she moved to London for better medical care. She lives in London with her family.
