Arjun Basu was born in Montreal, Canada, on December 14, 1966. His parents emigrated from Calcutta, India, the same year. His formative years were spent in the western region of Montreal, primarily in the vicinity of Cote St. Luc, a suburban area. He completed his university education, earning a bachelor’s degree in creative writing and a minor in film studies. Basu has accumulated professional experience in many editorial roles, including serving as a magazine editor and a children’s book editor for 5 years. Presently, he holds the position of Content Director for a globally recognized content marketing organization. Since 2010, Basu has been serving as the president of the National Magazine Awards Foundation in Canada. Through vivid descriptions and humorous repartee, he can elicit smiles, laughter, and a sense of amazement among his readers. At the same time, his works encourage deep contemplation, prompting serious reflection on important matters that resonate with young readers. His wife is a ceramic artist, and the family resides in Canada.
