Bed Prasad Giri is an academician, teacher, and critical theorist who hails from Nepal. He has had an illustrious career, having served as a Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Lumbini Buddhist University, Nepal. He also held the position of Visiting Professor at the Kathmandu University, Nepal. From 2004 to 2014, he taught English at Dartmouth College in the USA. He is the Associate Editorial Director for the Journal of Philosophy: A Cross-Disciplinary Inquiry.
