The initial research of BSS algorithm based on joint diagonalization mainly focuses on the orthogonal joint diagonalization method. The main feature of this algorithm is that mixing matrix to be estimated is a (unitary) orthogonal matrix. It is necessary to whiten the observed signal first, then estimate the unitary orthogonal diagonalization factor matrix from the whitened observed signal, and realize the separating of the source signal.
