An Electric Vehicle by Using Wind Energy—An Experimental Setup
摘要
The move to electric vehicles (EVs) is necessary to meet air-cleaning goals and because conventional fuels are in shortage of supply. Electric vehicle charging requires the use of renewable energy sources (RES) such as solar and wind energy systems. The use of electric vehicles combined with renewable energy is the focus of this research report. The goal of this article is to use wind energy to power electric vehicles. An experimental device was developed. This hardware uses a wind energy conversion system (WECS) based on a brushless DC motor (BLDC) generator and a storage system as a lithium-ion battery pack. This paper focuses on the introduction of EVs coupled with RES. The purpose of this paper is to use wind energy as a power source for electric vehicles. An experimental device was developed. The hardware uses a generator-based Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS). A brushless direct current (BLDC) motor is the traction source and the storage unit is a lithium-ion battery pack.
