This chapter presents an introduction of the foundational concepts, background, and security challenges in cyber-physical systems (CPSs). By analyzing documented security incidents and demonstrating representative case studies, the critical importance of CPSs security is highlighted. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the necessity of analyzing denial-of-service (DoS) and false data injection (FDI) attack strategies from a control-theoretic perspective, particularly considering whether attackers possess knowledge of the system model. It also underscores the value of modeling such attack behaviors within a game-theoretic framework to capture adversarial interactions. The chapter provides the comprehensive overviews of DoS and FDI attack strategies against CPSs, covering model-based, data-driven, and game-based approaches to the design of the attack, along with the discussions of the current research landscape in these areas.

摘要
