Advances in Terahertz Biosensing via Exceptional Points
摘要
Terahertz biosensing enables non-invasive biomolecule detection but faces challenges in sensitivity and detection efficiency. The integration of exceptional points (EPs) into THz sensors enhances sensitivity by amplifying responses to small perturbations. Tunable EPs provide further flexibility, allowing for real-time optimization in varying conditions. This review examines the role of EPs in advancing THz biosensing, focusing on sensitivity enhancement, multi-mode sensing, and their potential applications in diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and disease detection.
