Plant Parasitic Nematodes—Diagnosis and Management: An Overview

Molecular methods like isothermal amplification, high-throughput sequencing, PCR, and CRISPR/Cas12a, improve detection accuracy. The evidence leans toward remote sensing and AI enhancing large-scale monitoring and automation. Genetic engineering and new nematicides offer sustainable nematode management. There is ongoing debate about the environmental impact of new nematicides, balancing efficacy and safety, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of some advanced techniques.
