摘要
Telemedicine has proliferated, especially in the digital business and entrepreneurship sector, by delivering remote healthcare services through technology. This study aims to map and analyze the global trends of telemedicine entrepreneurship from 1994 to 2023 using a bibliometric approach. This research contributes by providing a comprehensive bibliometric mapping of telemedicine entrepreneurship, identifying emerging themes and gaps that offer a framework for future innovation and strategic advances in global healthcare. By analyzing 165 documents indexed in Scopus using the R Biblioshiny tool, we explore the thematic map evolution and research trends of telemedicine in entrepreneurship. The results show a substantial increase in scholarly production related to telemedicine entrepreneurship, with an annual growth of 12.18%, reflecting the growing global interest. The three-field analysis plots review the various international contributions, highlighting their interdisciplinary nature and global relevance. Trending topics, motor themes, and word clouds refer to entrepreneurship, innovation, telehealth, telemedicine, healthcare, and digital health research topics. The research implications highlight that understanding global research trends in telemedicine entrepreneurship through emerging thematic mapping offers valuable insights for academia, practical applications, and policymakers, supporting informed decisions and fostering innovation from a global perspective.
