Planning and Structuring the Supervision Journey
摘要
Graduate supervision is often described as a journey. Like all journeys, it requires careful preparation, a sense of direction, and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Without structure, graduate study can feel overwhelming—for both students and supervisors. Many students begin with enthusiasm but soon encounter challenges such as unclear expectations, unmanageable timelines, or competing responsibilities. Supervisors, meanwhile, may struggle to balance their own workloads with the demands of supporting students effectively.
