Graduate Supervision as Pedagogy
摘要
Graduate supervision occupies a unique and central position in higher education. Unlike traditional classroom instruction, which is organized around set curricula and large cohorts, supervision is an intensive, individualized, and relational form of pedagogy. It involves guiding graduate students through the complex processes of research design, knowledge production, professional identity formation, and personal growth. This pedagogical form is the cornerstone of graduate education because it not only facilitates the completion of advanced degrees but also shapes the character and trajectory of emerging scholars.
