This chapter explores innovative methods of disaster education, focusing mainly on early childhood and highlighting notable practices in Japan. The discussion will center on XR Bosai, an educational event utilizing XR technology for disaster prevention, and Bousai Terakoya, a program to teach young children about disaster readiness. This chapter also discusses the strengths and weaknesses of these innovations and will draw practical recommendations to improve the teaching and learning of disaster education in early childhood education.
