Contemplation and Its’ Practices
摘要
This chapter explores Contemplation as the capability that nurtures spiritual depth, discernment, and inner wisdom within leadership. Contemplation is presented as an integrative practice that sustains leaders amid pressure by reconnecting action with meaning and purpose. Four practices are examined: nurturing silence and solitude, engaging sacred texts, attending to the sacred-self, and cultivating discernment. Drawing from Christian spiritual traditions and contemporary leadership reflection, the chapter highlights contemplation as both personal discipline and communal resource. Practical exercises support leaders in developing habits that foster attentiveness to the Spirit in daily life. Through developmental assessment and applied scenarios, contemplation is shown to inform ethical judgement, strategic clarity, and faithful leadership. The chapter positions contemplative practice as essential for sustaining mission leadership that is grounded, resilient, and spiritually alive.
