Fuses are widely used in airborne equipment as reliable over-current protection devices, but improper selection of fuse parameters may cause fusing without over-current or failure to fuse in case of short circuit fault, and eventually cause abnormal operation of airborne equipment. In order to correctly select fuse parameters in engineering design, this paper analyzes fuse characteristics and the impact of airborne equipment surge current on fuses in detail based on actual engineering cases, which has good engineering practicability.
