Total Femur Resection and Replacement
摘要
Total femur replacement is an option for bone tumours of either the proximal or distal femur with extensive intramedullary involvement. Despite major resection and double joint reconstruction, the functional outcome of the limbs remains good. The newer generation of endoprostheses, with modularity, are able to maintain limb length and joint position for optimal muscle balance, patellar tracking, and adductor function for optimum limb functional outcome.
