Proximal Femur Resection and Replacement
摘要
The proximal femur is a common site for sarcoma and metastatic bone disease. Resection and reconstruction of proximal femur tumour has been shown to achieve good functional outcome and long-term survival using prosthesis. Gait impairment still remains an issue owing to poor abductor ‘gluteus medius’ tendon insertion and incorporation to the prosthesis.
